Lalley Centre Support Volunteer
Lalley Welcome Centre supports people on low incomes with practical needs in health, housing, family and employment. As a volunteer, you will be working alongside our staff to assist people who are unemployed or receiving benefits, families facing homelessness, and those struggling with addictions, mental health issues or conditions that prevent them from working
We’re looking for someone who is friendly, kind, empathetic and non-judgemental to help support people visiting our busy drop-in centre in North Manchester. The position would suit someone who is flexible and happy to work in a team, in a busy and sometimes challenging environment. This role requires maturity, and an ability to engage with people and families facing challenges and vulnerabilities whilst working alongside staff members to deliver our service in line with agreed procedures.

Having a criminal record is not necessarily a bar to volunteering within the organisation. This will depend on the nature of the position and the circumstances and the background of the offences.
Prior to starting with us you will be required to complete four mandatory online training modules.
